Hi, my name is Jess! I have lived along the shores of Lake Erie my entire life. I have spent a lot of my time eating at many different local restaurants in the area. During my childhood years, we had a sailboat that my dad would take all of us out sailing on the water. Sailing was one of my favorite places to be, being out on the water, it’s just so calm and relaxing. We were always out sailing on the boat. I have so many wonderful memories of fishing and swimming off the boat in the open water, swimming at the beach, and playing in the sand that I will forever treasure, especially out near the islands and to Cedar Point where we would sail the boat to sometimes. My husband and I have two beautiful, young, and smart daughters, one high school age and the other in college. We have always been on the go throughout the years whether it be taking our girls to soccer and softball practice, traveling in and out of state to tournaments and to games. We have even spent some time in Italy for a soccer tournament and they won 2nd place! I have eaten many different foods as I love to eat and I am not a picky eater, I will try just about everything! My recipes have been developed and inspired by many different areas of travel and cultural influences, especially from places along the coast as that is where I love to be. I hope you enjoy them!
Here is a picture of my family and I in the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. The mountains are just absolutely breathtaking.
This is one of the many beautiful sunrises close to home. No other better way to start the day than a refreshing morning walk with a cup of coffee in hand. Such a breath of fresh air.
One of my most favorite places to be. Nothing like that warm lake breeze blowing in while relaxing and listening to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. Beautiful after dinner walk, toes in the sand and all.
There is no way that I can’t share this highlight of my life. I was very lucky to be able to see Northern Lights at a local Ohio beach nearby. It truly was quite an experience, one of the many wonderous things mother nature can showcase.
